we've just had the largest strom ever here! the lightning is like someone sending the flash of a camera in your face!!!
i was working on the computer when a girl came in and said very loudly,' sixth form fund raising has been called off!!!!' (the week we raise money for charities)
when question she said 'the hall has flooded'. well, you know how we are. abandon everything run through the storm outside, and into the hall and indeed the hall is under water. its not coming through the windows or anything, its coming through the plaster and ceiling and roof!!!!! some teachers look like they are about to cry!!! me and a couple other went throught the school finding spare bins and buckets to collect the water (so now the sixth form area is without bins). we cant do much else until the rain has stopped, and its being going for a good couple of hours now. all electrics have been cut off and curtains have been pulled down, sometimes ripped since its too dangerous to get a ladder in there so weve have to rip them off there rails.
my feet are wet since i have holes in my shoes!!!!
its still raining. and i think its getting harder. the only time its been this bad is when i went to camp once. we had to 'storm' our tents (special pegging for harsh weather) take all bedding into the mess tent and hold them off the floor, which failed because in the end we were all on our stomachs hold the mess tent to the ground since the water had rotted through the pegs etc.
still raining....
we have tours today as well. thats going down well. 'you cant go to the hall because its flooding'....
still raining....
class rooms are being made ready to allow students in because they cant go into the hall
expect up dates

wow! and I thought the storm we'd had up here had been bad! Of course, you can't beat secondary comprehensives for shoddy roof work! hope things work out!
We got told the hall was about to collapse, so you really shouldn't have been in there.
The rain wasn't so bad, it made maths fun and we missed the assembly.
How exciting! That would never happen where I live, because we live pretty much in a desert. I bet that was fun.
Darn! I went to an open day and missed the near collapse of our ''wonderful'' school? Curses!
it turned out that the fund raising could carry on!!! they cleaned up the mess some how.
apprantly it wasnt just the hall. apprantly the gym and the music block flooded as well. also the girls sixth form toliets flooded (we even had boys walk in there to confirm for themselves) and the boys maths toilets flooded.

im not much of an artist, but i'll try my best ^-^
they let them hold the fund raising so i dont think it did that much damage.
apprantly the assembly was going to be about the gas works they were doing.
